Our Story
Ever had a road trip ruined by travel sickness? We get it because we've lived it!
I'm Debbie, a mum to a ten-year-old child actor, Dexter, whose life last year was a whirlwind of filming across Ireland. But there was a big problem: he suffered from extreme travel sickness. Long, winding drives to the coast made every journey a struggle.
That was until I had a chat with my friend, renowned optometrist Ruth Perrott MBE who suggested something unusual; homemade glasses with two simple strips of tape on the nasal side of each lens, a technique called bi-nasal occlusion. Her theory? Enhancing peripheral vision could help with balance and prevent travel sickness.
The results were instantaneous. Dexter wore the glasses on every car and plane journey after that, and the sickness? Gone.
On a whim, I filmed a quick video and shared it on social media which attracted over 10 million views and thousands of messages from people worldwide who had been struggling with travel sickness. The response was overwhelming and we knew we had to make this solution available to everyone.
And so, NonVom was born.
With Ruth's expertise and our mission to help fellow sufferers, we created travel sickness glasses that are simple, effective, and life-changing. No more nausea. No meds, no side effects. Just smooth, happy travels.
Whether it's a long-haul flight or the school run, NonVom lets you (or your little ones) travel nausea-free.*

HOW DO THEY WORK?
Motion Sickness is a discrepancy between what the eyes tell you, as you're moving and what your body tells you. Your eyes tell you things are moving because you can see things passing in your periphery, but your body isn't moving against gravity.
In nature, when we are walking, the body goes up and down and left and right and so the body knows that it is moving, but in a car, the eyes say it's moving and the body doesn't and that creates a discrepancy and that can be the cause of some of the motion sickness. It is something to do with a sensory overload; too much information going into the brain, so cutting this down by adding 2 strips of frosting to the nasal side of the glasses, like we have done with our motion sickness glasses, reduces the input and by doing this it talks to the brain and it says to the brain, not in here, in the close near world, but get out there in the far world, so it redicrects attention and this has been known to have quite a massive effect on eliminating motion sickness.
It can also work any sensory overload, which could result in migraines, headaches, dizziness or instability. There is a lot of brain function that we can influence with these spectacles.
